The Committee to Protect Journalists (CPJ) has named Khaosod English senior staff writer Pravit Rojanaphruk one of four International Press Freedom award recipients. Pravit will receive the award from the New York-based organisation dedicated to the safety and independence of journalists, in a ceremony on Nov 15 in New York. They can either bow to the military junta or try to resist in a peaceful manner," Pravit told the Bangkok Post yesterday. "The award strengthens my resolve to continue to try to fight and maintain the little press freedom we still have left in Thailand. "If we keep on yielding, we may soon realise that there's no freedom left," he said.
